ZTE has released its latest 2nd Intel processor powered smartphone globally. Dubbed as Grand X2, the smartphone sports 4.5-inch 720p HD display, and runs on Android Jelly Bean. The smartphone will hit the stores in Europe in 3rd quarter of this year followed by other continents soon after with undisclosed price.
Touted as the successor of Grand X launched last year with Intel processor, ZTE Grand X2 houses Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core Clover Trail+ processor. This is the same kind of processor which is also seen powering Lenovo’s K900 and ZTE Geek smartphones.
Among the other specifications, it features 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 8MP rear camera and 2,000 mAh battery. Along with the usual apps, ZTE Grand X2 also comes pre-loaded with its My-Pop feature, which helps in one-hand operation of the phones.
Commenting at the launch, William Chhao, Terminal Director at ZTE France said:
We are proud to announce the ZTE Grand X2 In smartphone pursuing our multi-year strategic collaboration with Intel. The ZTE Grand X2 In is set to build on the success of the ZTE Grand X In, our first flagship smartphone in Europe to feature Intel Inside, and further increase ZTE’s growth in the high-performance smartphone market segment.
