It is really good news for the users of Tegra 2 Android devices because there were certain irritating problems that were causing the app to crash during startup on Tegra 2 devices. Users of Nvidia Tegra 2 devices used to face problems like Google Earth freezing and crashing,. But now these problems have been fixed and are no more.
The Critical Update
Now Google Earth has been updated for Android devices running on Nvidia Tegra 2 processors. With introducing these updates, Google has eliminated some bugs while bringing greater application compatibility for Tegra 2 based devices like Motorola Xoom and Acer Iconia as well as other Android Honeycomb tablets.
Android 3.0 based tablet-users are now allowed to access the new Google Earth app, which has been optimized for the large screen and with a new action bar. Users can get easy access to search, reset-to-north, my location, and layers. Not only this, users can now explore the photo-realistic 3D buildings that were previously only accessible via the desktop version of Google Earth, but this feature is as of now supported by a few phones only, while more devices are expected to support it in due course.
Google has now announced that its new Business Photos feature for Google Maps (Places specifically) will begin to roll out soon, offering what’s effectively Street View for the inside of retailers and other buildings – with the owner’s permission, of course.
