Sony seems to be planning to launch the successor of existing Xperia Z2 in the form of Xperia Z3 in coming months. Just few weeks ago, we saw the leaked images of this upcoming device via several Chinese websites, now thanks to prolific leakes @Evleaks, we have the alleged specifications of Xperia Z3.
According to @Evleaks, Sony’s this flagship will come featured with 5.15-inch display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.4GHz, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage out of the box. The phone will run on latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat, and will also include 2.1MP front camera and 20.7MP primary camera with LED flash support. Some of the previously leaked image also showed that the phone feature wireless charging support.
As you can find, there are hardly any differences between upcoming Xperia Z3 and existing Xperia Z2 as far as specifications are concerned. So, what is “new” in Xperia Z3, which will drive the consumers to go for Z3 and not Xperia Z2, as the latter is likely to get cheaper after the release of Z3. We hope to get answers to these question in the coming weeks as more leaks appear, but we’re sure that Sony will definitely include some new features in XPeria Z3 to make it stand out from Xperia Z2 otherwise this whole strategy of launching a new flagship every half of the year seems a waste.
There is no word on its exact launch schedule as well as pricing, but we’re hoping that Sony’s this flagship will make its debut at IFA Berlin this year.
