Acer has officially announced the release of its latest tablet, called Iconia Tab 8. According to the company, the tablet will be showcased at the Computex trade fair next week.
As the name suggests, it boasts an 8-inch full HD IPS display with anti-fingerprint coating. Running on latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the Acer Iconia Tab 8 comes powered by an Intel Atom quad-core Z3745 Bay Trail processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
In addition, it also has 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and dual-front speakers and microSD card slot. The tablet comes in two variants – one with 16GB ROM and other with 32GB ROM.
“The Acer Iconia Tab 8 features a simple and smart looking design that any discerning users will appreciate, including its sleek anodized silver metal back cover and slim profile. Measuring in at 8.5mm thin and weighting 360g light, the Iconia Tab 8 isn’t just great to look at, but also comfortable to hold in one hand or easy to slip into a bag when on-the-go,” Acer noted in a press release.
According to the company, it will start rolling out the device in Q3 with a price tag starting 199 euros.
