You’re looking right at the render of upcoming HTC One M8 Ace– the cheaper and plastic variant of One M8, which is rumoured to be announced on June 3, 2014 in China. The press render and specifications of this cheaper variant again popped up online, but this time a better render and almost full details of the phone have come forward.
Shared by Chinese website ifanr.com, this press render confirms what we had seen earlier. Regarding the specifications, the folks at ifanr.com reveal that the HTC One M8 Ace will sport 5-inch full HD display, 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and will runs on latest Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0 on top. The phone will be powered by a 2600 mAh battery and will pack 5MP front camera and 13MP rear camera with LED flash on the top. The only thing we’re not sure about the display size of the phone. Just few days ago, the @evleaks hinted that the company is packing 4.7-inch HD display in M8 Ace.
The company has planned to launch the two variants of M8 Ace–one with 16GB ROM and other with 32GB ROM, both expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. HTC One M8 Ace will also come with front-facing Boomsound stereo speakers and support for Dot View case.
Expected to be unveiled in China on June 3, the phone will reportedly retail around 3,000 yuan (INR 28K). Given the past pricing of HTC smartphones, we doubt that the company will release the Ace at such an aggressive pricing. ifanr.com also notes that HTC One M8 Ace could be released as HTC One M8 Vogue edition.
