Microsoft has officially made the Android powered Nokia X+ and Nokia XL official in the Indian market. According to the company, Nokia X+ has been priced at 8,399, while Nokia XL will be available for a best buy price of 11,489 in the country. The Nokia XL already went on sale last week, and is retailing via Infibeam and Nokia Shop for 11,350 in the country. The Nokia X+ will go on sale in coming weeks.
“With the Nokia X Family, we look to offer a variety of choices to our consumers at different price points. After receiving a great response with the Nokia X, which introduced the category to this market, we are now bringing the much awaited Nokia XL and X+ to our consumers,” said Nokia India (a Microsoft Mobile Oy subsidiary) Director Sales Raghuvesh Sarup.
On the specs front, while Nokia X+ features a 4-inch WVGA IPS display, 3MP rear camera, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3G, 768MB of RAM and dual-SIM support, the Nokia XL packs a 5-inch WVGA display, 5MP rear camera, and 2MP front camera, 768MB of RAM, 2000 mAh battery and dual-SIM support.
Both these phones are competing with Motorola’s latest offering Moto E which is retailing in the country via Flipkar for a price of 6,999.
Both smartphones will be available in a host of colour options in the country. The company has also partnered with Airtel to provide 500MB of free data to the buyers of the phones, which can be used to download apps via the Nokia Store and the 1Mobile store.
