In the press invite which Motorola dispatched earlier this month for the 13th May event which is expected to be focused on the launch of rumoured Moto E, Motorola didn’t give any glimpse of this upcoming smartphone, but thanks to a leak which has provided the purported image of this price-conscious smartphone.
The leaked image which have been extracted from Motorola Mexico’s Facebook page by the folks of Android Police, shows the alleged Moto E lying alongside budget friendly Moto G. From the image, it’s clearly evident that Moto E would not sport front camera and will have Motorola branding at the top left corner just like Moto G. The chrome strip below the display on the other hand could well be a speaker slot.
In addition, the India’s leading e-retailer Flipkart has also issued a sketchy image with the tagline “Hello new Moto” which gives us an fair idea about the inclusion of front speaker in the Moto E.
Expected to be announced on 13th May at a press event held in London and New Delhi simultaneously, the Moto E is rumoured to feature 4.3-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, latest Android 4.4 Jelly Bean 5MP rear camera, 1GB RAM, and 4GB of internal storage in addition to microSD card slot, which is missing in both Moto G and Moto X. The phone is reportedly said to be powered by a 1900 mAh battery.
A new leak surfaced earlier this week indicated that the Moto E will be available for a price of 6,330 in the Indian market. Although there is no official word o pricing, but if it’s indeed true, then Moto E will offer great challenges to the local smartphone vendors which usually offer devices with average specifications in this price bracket.
