The Chinese phone maker Xiaomi is all set to host a press event on May 15 to announce their latest devices in homeland. The company has already sent the press invites to the tech press for the event which is likely to be held in Beijing on the mentioned date.
In the press invite, the company has not explicitly mentioned what device it will be showcasing at the event, but rumours have sparked that it will likely announce the launch of recently leaked Xiaomi Mi-3S smartphone, much awaited Mi-Pad tablet, new Xiaomi Smart TV and new version of MIUI firmware.
The press render and the specifications of flagship Xiaomi Mi-3S leaked just a day before in China which claims that the company has included a 5-inch full HD display, a powerful 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and massive 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory in the device. Likely to be powered by latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat with MIUI on top, the device is rumoured to pack 13 MP rear shooter and 5MP/8MP front camera also.
As far as the Xiaomi’s first tablet Mi-Pad is concerned, we have seen two set of leaks so far about Xiaomi tablet – one with 7.85-inch 2048x1536p display and other with 9.2-inch 1280x800p display, but we still don’t know which tablet will debut at the event. We would not be surprised if company announces both variants of the tablet at the launch event.
The specifications of the Xiaomi Smart TV and MIUI firmware are not known yet, however given the press event is just ten days away, we will know soon enough.
