We already know that Xiaomi is looking forward to introduce its first tablet this year. While the complete innards of this upcoming tablet are still unclear, we have a bit of information that suggests that the tablet will sport 7.85-inch QXGA display offering 2048x1536p resolution, and if the report of Focus Taiwan is to be trusted, it will cost just 1000 yuan (USD $160).
The Focus Taiwan citing Michael Zuo of Topology Research Institute reports that the Xiaomi, which has planned to sell its products in ten new developing markets including India this year, is in talks with Intel and Nvidia for the SoC requirements, and is all set to use on of the two. The company is also looking forward to partner with Foxconn and Inventec for the manufacturing of this tablet.
There is no word regarding its exact launch, and also not much details are available at the moment. Hope the company will deliver some information at the time of Mi-3 successor announcement.
