Sharp has announced a high-end smartphone , called AQUOS Xx 304SH for the Japanese market today. The phone features 5.2-inch full HD display, and comes encased in metal frame having dimensions of 135x72x9mm.
Set to be available on SoftBank Mobile in Japan, the Sharp AQUOS Xx 304SH comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset (MSM8974AB) with a 2.3GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU, an Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM in addition to 32GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The phone operates on latest Android 4.4 KitKat, and comes with IPX5/IPX7 rating which means the device sports dust and water resistant capability. At the back of the Sharp AQUOS 304SH, there’s a 13MP camera with LED flash, while the front-facing one is a 2.1MP.
For connectivity, it has 4G LTE/3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and infrared connectivity. The company has included a 2,600mAh battery in the device, however it’s unclear how long it last between the charges.
Available in wide range of colour options, the Sharp AQUOS Xx 304SH will hit the shelves in Japanese market later in May. The pricing of the phone is not clear, and also there is no word if company has plans to launch the device in other markets outside Japan.
