After the huge success of flagship Moto X and mid-range Moto G smartphone, Motorola is now gearing up for the launch of an entry-level smartphone in coming days. Earlier this year, Motorola Mobility’s former CEO Dennis Woodside had also revealed the company’s plans to launch such kind of affordable smartphone in coming months, and seems like we are very close to hear the announcement now.
According to the Tecnoblog.net, Motorola’s this entry-level smartphone could be dubbed as Moto E, and would be launched in May in single SIM as well as dual-SIM versions. The blog add that the single SIM variant will have model number XT1021, while the dual-SIM version will carry model number XT1025.
In addition, the blog has also published a screenshot, which apparently reveals the specifications of this upcoming smartphone. The published screenshot reveals that this entry-level Motorola smartphone will boast 4.3-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. Among the other feature, it will have 4GB of internal storage, 5MP rear camera, front camera, 3G, FM Radio, 1900 mAh battery and more in just 6.2mm thick chassis.
There is no official word from Motorola on the report yet, and also there is no word regarding its pricing and availability in the markets including India, but considering the specifications surfaced, the phone will likely to carry a price tag between 7,000-8,000 in the Indian market. If it priced so, this entry-level Motorola smartphone will be a direct threat to the local phone vendors like Micromax, Lava, Karbonn, XOLO and many others.
