As scheduled, Asus has officially announce the release of the dual-SIM (both micro SIMs) version of Asus FonePad 7 in the Indian market today. Dubbed as Asus FonePad Dual-SIM (ME175CG), the tablet has been priced at 12,999, and comes in White and Grey colour options.
It sports 7-inch (1280 x 800) HD LED Backlit IPS display, and comes powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor paired with 300 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.
Running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean mobile platform, it comes equipped with 1.2MP front facing camera and 5MP rear shooter with 1080p full HD recording support. The front camera of the tablet is also capable of recording 720p video as well.
Originally announced at MWC 2014 earlier this year, it includes 64GB expandable memory support via microSD card and 3950 battery which is claimed to offer up to 28 hours of 3G talk time and up to 35 days of standby time to users in a single full charging. On the connectivity front, it packs an array of options including 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and GPS.
