After the announcement of mid-range Iris Pro 20 earlier this week, Lava has now kicked-off an affordable dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) Android smartphone in the Indian market today. The phone which is dubbed as Lava Iris 406Q, is officially priced at 7,499, and comes with 4-inch IPS touch display bearing 800×480 pixel resolution and operates on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It’s upgradable to latest Android 4.4 KitKat, which it would get later this year.
Among the other specifications, it has a quad-core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory (2.25GB of user memory), 5MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera and microSD support for up to 32GB so far.
Sporting an array of connectivity options including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and GPS, the new Lava Iris 406Q packs 1700 mAh battery. In addition, it comes pre-loaded with Battery Guru app that learns usage patterns and conserves the smartphone battery. It also has Audio Plus software that offers surround sound, 3D audio and wider bass while using headphones.
According to the company, the Lava Iris 406Q comes in Black and White colour variants, and it would be available shortly in the country. The phone is just spotted listed on pre-order at country’s leading online retailer Flipkart which is offering the phone for 6,999.
