The world’s slimmest smartphone, Gionee Elife S5.5 which was launched in China earlier this month, is now officially announced in India. According to the Gionee India, the phone will be sold for a price of 22,999 starting mid-April, and it will be available in Black, White, Pink, Blue and Purple colours.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the new Gionee Elife S5.5 comes with 5-inch full HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Amigo 2.0 UI.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.7GHz along with Mali 450-MP4 GPU coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM, 16 GB of internal memory plus 2,300 mAh battery.
On the camera front, the Gionee Elife S5.5 packs 5MP front camera and 13MP rear camera with LED flash, stacked Sony sensors and 1080p video recording support.
Featuring 5.5mm thin magnesium alloy frame, the phone comes equipped with an array of connectivity supports including 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and USB OTG.
