Our wait of hear the announcement of Samsung’s next generation flagship Galaxy S5 is going to end this week. Samsung is going to announce the launch of the device on 27th March in the Indian market, and company has started dispatching the invitations to the tech press for the event where it’s also expected to showcase latest Gear series smartwatches along with Galaxy S5.
Apart from the launch schedule, the company has not mentioned the actual availability as well as pricing of the phone, but the rumours are rife that the phone will hit the Indian shelves starting April 11, the day on which the phone is reported to be announced globally by Samsung.
Originally introduced last month, Samsung Galaxy S5 is the company’s latest flagship smartphone that boasts 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, and packs Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and Android 4.4.2. The phone also packs NFC, 16MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and 2800 mAh battery.
In addition, the phone also packs a finger print scanner, biometric screen locking feature and mobile payments. It has S Health 3.0 with additional tools including a pedometer, diet and exercise records, and a new, built-in heart rate monitor. It also comes with water and dust-resistant capabilities.
