Bharti Airtel, the leading Indian telecom company has revealed that it has partnered with Nokia to release their first Android powered Nokia X smartphone in 17 African countries starting mid-April.

Even though the telco has added that it will offer several lucrative data offers to the buyers of Nokia X smartphone, the pricing for the phone is still a mystery in these country.

Originally announced at MWC last month, the Nokia X, the first Android smartphone from the house of Nokia, comes powered by forked version of Android 4.1.2 jelly Bean, and boasts 4-inch WVGA display, dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 3MP rear camera and 1500 mAh battery.

In addition, it comes bundled with several Nokia and Microsoft services and apps like HERE Maps with turn-by-turn navigation and Nokia MixRadio music streaming.
