Sony India has officially announced the launch of Xperia T2 Ultra–a mid-range smartphone in the country today. Originally announced at CES earlier this year, the phone is spotted listed at Saholic for a long time, but now retailer promises to deliver the device by March 25 for a price of 24,990. According to the company, the phone can also be grabbed from Sony Centers, Xperia Flagship stores and major electronic stores across India starting March 20.
The company has also released its dual-SIM version, called Xperia T2 Ultra Dual which comes with similar specifications as that of Xperia T2 Ultra.
In terms of specifications, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra packs 6-inch 720p HD TRILUMINOS Display with X-Reality engine, 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory and microSD card slot for expanding memory by up to 32GB.
The Xperia T2 Ultra runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and includes
13MP rear camera with full HD video recording support and 1.1MP front camera. It’s powered by a non-removable 3000 mAh battery which offers ample talk time and stand by time to users. The phone comes with an array of connectivity options including 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth and DLNA.
At this pricing, the phone will be competing with Moto X, which just went on sale in the country via Flipkart.
