Motorola has became the 2nd company after LG, which has announced Android Wear powered wearable smartwatch on Tuesday. The watch is dubbed as Moto 360, and unlike other manufacturers’ watches which boast usual square or rectangular shape, Motorola Moto 360 comes packed in circular shape. According to the Motorola, the Moto 360 smartwatch would hit the shelves this summer around the world starting with USA.
Like rival LG, Motorola has also not revealed the innards of the smartwatch yet, but it has announced that the watch will be released in variety of styles, so you don’t have to worry about the typical smartwatch design or looks.
Running on Android Wear, the Moto 360 comes with similar features to LG G including Google Now integration, voice actions and rich notifications support. The key specs of the watch is expected to be revealed in few coming days.
“The wristwatch has been through several evolutions since it first became a popular fashion accessory more than a 100 years ago. From mechanical to electronic movements, analog to digital faces, the wristwatch has been reinvented several times over, but the basic design has endured for a century because of its elegance and usefulness ‘at a glance.’ Our vision for Moto 360 was to celebrate that history as we reimagined the wristwatch for the future,” Motorola noted in a blog post.
