As expected, the Indian e-retailer Flipkart via its Twitter account has announced at launch of Moto X smartphone in the country today. According to the retailer, it will start selling the phone from tomorrow for a a price of 23,999 which is almost equivalent to US pricing ($399).
Answering several queries on Twitter, the retailer revealed that Moto X will be sold in five colour options – Black, White, Royal Blue, Cherry, and Turquoise as well as two wood back versions – Teak and Walnut. The wood back versions will be sold for 25,999. Flipkart has also noted that initially only White and Black versions will be on sale, however the consumers will be able to pre-order other colour versions, which will be shipped in second week of April.

Originally announced in August last year, the Moto X packs 4.7-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, and comes powered by a dual-core, but high-end qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.7GHz, accompanied with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage. It also includes 10MP primary camera and 2MP front camera.
The phone runs on latest Android 4.4 Kitkat and comes pre-loaded with a host of software customizations like Active Notifications, Touchless Control, Motorola Assist, Migrate and Connect.
Flipkart has also planned three launch day offers for Moto X, which include 1,000 cashback with purchases on EMI, 70% discount on Moto X cases and 100% cashback for ten lucky customers.
