When LG announced its flagship G Pro 2 last month in South Korean market ahead of MWC, it was not revealed the global roll out plan for the device. Today, almost a month after the launch, the South Korean tech giant has announced that it has started rolling out the device globally starting from Asian countries including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippine, Vietnam and Indonesia. The flagship was available only in South Korea as of now.
Although the phone was showcased at the LG Tech Show 2014 event in India earlier this month, it’s quite surprising to find no word on the availability of the phone in the Indian market. Hope the company will reveal the launch plan in the country in few coming days.
On the specifications front, the flagship LG G Pro 2 packs 5.9-inch FHD IPS display with slim bezel, 2.26 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU, Android 4.4 KitKat, 3GB DDR3 RAM, and 16/32GB internal memory as well as microSD support.
It comes powered by a powerful 3,200 mAh removable battery, and includes high-end 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and OIS+ technology, 2.1MP front camera and an array of connectivity options like LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, GPS / aGPS, NFC, and SlimPort.
In addition, the smartphone comes preloaded with plethora of software customizations like feature Content Lock (to safeguard videos, images, memos, files using a password), Mini View (ability to shrink display to smaller size for one hand use) and Dual Browser (two browser windows alongside on one screen).
The phones comes in Titan, White and Red color options. No word on the pricing yet.
