Alongside its Xperia Z2 smartphone and XPeria Z2 tablet, Sony has also introduced two new mid-range smartphones Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Dual at MWC exhibition in Barcelona. Earlier rumoured to be launched as Xperia G, the specifications of the phone leaked online last week ahead of the event.
According to Sony, the Xperia M2 boasts 4.8-inch qHD display and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean accompanied with a quad-core Qualcomm processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Among the other features, it has microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, front camera, 2300 mAh battery and dual-SIM support. As you can see, most of the specs are similar as what we reported earlier. The Xperia M2 Dual is just a dual-SIM variant packing the same innards as Xperia M2.
Xperia M2 is an ultrafast smartphone that offers brilliant specs and performance, reaching new audiences with a mid-range price. This is a great device for the customer looking for a smartphone that has it all. It combines the best of Sony, bringing you our latest technologies complimented with a one of its kind, unique entertainment offer never before seen on a mid-range smartphone,” said Calum MacDougall, Director of Xperia Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications.
