Acer has introduced two new Liquid-series smartphones, liquid E1 and Liquid Z4 yesterday in Barcelona ahead of Mobile World Congress exhibition. According to the company, both the smartphones will be released in the European markets for €199 in April 2014 followed by other continents soon after.
The press release shared by company reveals that Acer Liquid E3 comes with 4.7-inch HD IPS display, and packs 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16BG of on-board storage, 13MP rear camera with ultra-fast focus and 2MP front shooter.
The phone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and comes with microSD support for memory expansion, and usual connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and integrated GPS. The phone will receive Android 4.4 kitKat treatment later this year, says Acer.
On the other hand, Acer Liquid Z4 is an entry-level smartphone which features a 4-inch display, dual-core processor and 5MP rear camera. It runs on Android 4.2.2 and packs 4GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot.
The smartphone has been priced at just 99 euros and will be available in White and Black colour options.
In both the phones, Acer has included a nifty AcerRAPID key on the back, which can be used to unlock and/or wake-up the screen, launch the camera, take a picture, launch apps from home screen and pick up phone calls.
