Micromax is reportedly looking forward to launch its first ever water and dust resistant smartphone in coming days. According to Twitter user @MMXNewscaster, the alleged phone will come with IP67 rating, and the phone will most probably be known as Splash. Since there is no confirmation from the company yet, the official name of the phone is still a mystery at this point.

We still don’t have the full specifications of this upcoming smartphone, but the leaked image hints that the phone will pack 5MP rear camera along with an LED flash. The rear panel also sports the ‘IP67 Certified’ label. The phone’s volume rocker key appears to be located at the right edge. It’s likely that the ports on the phone will be protected by flaps to make it water and dust resistant, similar to Sony’ flagship Xperia phones.
According to @MMXNewscaster, the phone can withstand under water for a period of 30 minutes and of maximum depth up to 1metre.
There is no word on its exact launch and availability yet, but speculations are rife that phone might be launched either by the end of this month or early next month.
