Sony might unveil a new smartphone, called Xperia G at upcoming MWC event later this month, along with recently leaked Sony Sirius. The images and purported specifications of the alleged device have been leaked via Twitter this week. The prolific leaker ViziLeak has posted the alleged images which clearly show the front and rear panel of this upcoming mid-range smartphone.
Even though the specs of the phone is not confirmed, but according to leaks, the phone is expected to pack 4.8-inch display (HD likely), LTE support, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1 GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and a micro SD card slot. This is likely to pack the same Snapdragon 400 processor present in the Xperia T2.
On of the image reveals the presence of dedicated camera button and Sony’s signature power button in the phone. The phone will reportedly come cased in plastic frame with plastic back.
The phone looks a little bit smaller than Xperia Z1, but it hasn’t water and dust resistant capability unlikely, mentions ViziLeaks. Considering the MWC event later this month, Sony is highly expected to showcase this device at the event along with other devices.
