Samsung India is preparing for the launch of Galaxy Grand Neo smartphone in the country, and the phone would go on sale soon after the launch, reports Mahesh Telecom, a Mumbai-based retailer.
According to the retailer, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo will carry a price tag of 19,010 (MRP), but the device will be available for a best buy price of 18,190. The phone is expected to be announced next week at the Samsung Forum 2014, which is being held on Feb 18 in Bali.
Leaked in January and already on sale in Netherlands, the new Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo boasts 5.01-inch WVGA display, smart dual-SIM support, and comes powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. IIt runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and includes 16GB of internal storage, 64GB expandable memory via microSD card, VGA front camera and 5MP rear camera with LED flash.
Samsung has included 2100 mAh battery in the phone rated to offer ample talk time to users. On the connectivity front, the phone comes with the support of 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 LE as well as GPS and Glonass.
In addition, Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo comes with a couple of freebies including 50 GB Dropbox and 3month’s free subscription to Club Samsung.
The company is assembling the phone in India itself at its Noida facility, where it also assembles other smartphones including Galaxy S4.
