Following the announcement of affordable XOLO A500 Club smartphone earlier this week, the Indian phone vendor XOLO now seems to be gearing up for the release of a mid-range quad-core processor powered smartphone in the country. The upcoming smartphone is dubbed as XOLO Q1100, and has been priced at 14,999. It has been spotted listed at XOLO’s official website, but there is no word regarding its exact launch and availability yet.
According to the official product listing, the new XOLO Q1100 is a dual-SIM smartphone which features 5-inch HD IPS 720p display based on OGS technology, and works on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Being a Q-series phone, the XOLO Q1100 is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage on-board.
In addition, it includes 2MP front camera, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2000 mAh battery, 32GB expandable memory support via microSD card and usual connectivity options including 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
The XOLO Q1100 will be competing with Moto G which is now available in the country for 12,499 (8GB) and 13,999 (16GB).
Here is a comparison between XOLO Q1100 and Moto G:
While on paper XOLO Q1100 certainly looks like a better offering but there are many reasons why one should go for Moto G like better software support including KitKat update, lesser price-tag and seemingly better looking device with customisation options. If you want a bigger screen and non-expandable storage is a big concern for you then Q1100 seems like a decent option.
