Looks like we will not have to wait till MWC-2014 to see the official announcement of much anticipated flagship smartphone LG G Pro 2. If a report published in ZDNet Korea is to be believed, we might hear the official announcement next week in Korea, where LG is scheduled to held a press event on 13th February to announce the flagship.
In south Korea, the company has sent invitation to the tech press for the event. The invitation which says “knock-knock knockin’ on” does not reveal what we could see at the event, but speculation are rife that the LG G Pro 2 is going to be announced at the event.
We have been encountering with several leaks and rumours related to this flagship from last couple of days. One of the leaked image surfaced online last week suggested that the phone will have power button as well as volume buttons right on the back below the main camera, just like LG G2.
LG hasn’t confirmed the specifications of G Pro 2 yet apart from it will include 13MP rear camera enriched with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) technology and several improvements including ultra-HD video recording support (3,840 x 2,160), slow motion video capture, burst shot with 20 images support and more.
According to earlier rumours, the LG G Pro 2 will pack 5.9-inch FHD IPS display with 77.2% screen to body ratio, a powerful quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat and LTE-A support.
