There have been a lot of rumours and speculations regarding the nomenclature of upcoming HTC One successor floating on the Internet. The HTC One+, HTC M8 are the few names which are claimed to be the name of this upcoming flagship of HTC in various leaks, but looks like these previous stories are false if a report by a French government website is to be believed.
According to the French government’s New Caledonia’s Office of Posts and Telecommunications website, which has listed several HTC devices, the upcoming HTC One successor will be dubbed as HTC One 2, and it will come in both single SIM as well as dual-SIM variants.
There isn’t much information on the devices, except that they will both have 3G connectivity. According to some rumours and leaks, the HTC One successor are expected to come with 5-inch 1080p display, Ultrapixel rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, latest Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0 UI, a quad-core Qualcomm’s MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM out of the box.
It would be interesting to see HTC launching a dual-SIM version of their flagship phone. Dual-SIM functionality is usually relegated to handsets with less than impressive tech specs, so if the rumors are true, dual-SIM fans may have reason to rejoice.
