Alongside Liquid Z5 Android smartphone, Acer has also rolled out a new Iconia series tablet, called Iconia A1-830 for international markets on Friday. According to the company the tablet comes in only White colour, and would hit the shelves at the end of February in several markets for starting price of 169 euros (approx.14,400).
According to Acer, the new Iconia A1-830 packs 7.9-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) LED-backlit IPS display with 178 degree viewing angle and 4:3 aspect ratio, and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It is powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor with Hyper-Threading technology paired with 1GB LPDDR2 RAM and 16GB of on-board storage.
Among the other features, it has 5MP rear camera with 1080p video recoding, 2MP front-facing camera with 720p video recoding, 32GB microSD support and connectivity options including WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB. It flaunts aluminum metal back cover and sturdy frame for enhanced durability.
Along with the tablet, Acer is also planning to sell Crunch Keyboard and Crunch Cover that doubles up as stand separately. With upcoming CES just around the corner, we hope Acer would the tablet at CES 2014, Las Vegas next week.
