Acer has announced the launch of its latest Liquid series Android smartphone called Liquid Z5 globally today. According to the company, the phone would be available carrying a price tag of 169 euros (approx.14,500) beginning mid-January in select European markets including France, Benelux, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Ukraine and UK.
According to the company, the new Acer Liquid Z5 sports 5-inch FWVGA display, and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It is powered by 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek processor along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of on-board storage.
It includes dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 32GB microSD card slot, 2000 mAh battery and usual connectivity features.
In addition to these specifications, Acer Liquid Z5 has DTS Sound technology and Acer RAPID design for one-hand control to unlock and/or wake-up the screen, launch the camera, take a picture, launch apps from home screen and pick up phone calls easily. It has Quick Mode profiles such as Basic Mode, Senior Mode, Classic mode and Keypad mode. It has Acer Float User Interface that allows app windows to stay open for better multitasking.
Being considered as the successor of Acer Liquid Z3, the Liquid Z5 comes in Essential White and Gentle Grey color options.
