As expected, the Indian phone vendor Intex has officially announced the launch of its first octa-core processor powered smartphone, called Aqua Octa in the Indian market today. The phone is priced at 19,999 and is available for purchase from Snapdeal. The phone would be available via 40,000 plus retail outlets, more than 42 INTEX SQUARES (exclusive retail stores), several hypermarkets and other leading e-commerce portals from January 15th on wards.
Earlier rumoured to be dubbed as Intex i17, the new Intex Aqua Octa comes with a big 6-inch HD IPS display based on OGS technology and dual-SIM support with dual standby.
Running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, it is powered by 1.7Ghz Octa-core
MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and 2300 mAh removable battery. It also includes 13MP auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, 5MP front-facing camera and usual connectivity features.
In addition, the phone comes with Matrabhasha multilingual application, Intex Cloud with 5GB of storage, and several preloaded apps like Intex Play, Intex Game Club, BigFlix, NQ Mobile Security, OLX and Opera mini.
