Chinese smartphone maker TCL, which sells its devices under Alcatel brand, has announced the launch of Idol X+ smartphone today. Packing a 2GHz octa-core processor from MediaTek, Alcatel Idol+ is basically an updated version of previously launched Idol X.
The phone features a 5-inch 1080p display, 13MP rear camera, 2500 mAh battery and 2GB of RAM. The company is also bundling a waterproof Boom Band activity tracker with every device, which will be available in multiple colour options and connects to Idol X+ using Bluetooth.
It can help you track your physical/ sleep activity and even acts as a proximity alarm, so if you leave your connected phone behind, the Boom Band will inform you.
