We have been facing a lot of rumours and speculations regarding Nokia’s plan to launch its Android based smartphone for past several months. The Finnish phone maker which have been introducing Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS based smartphones from past few year under its Lumia series, however has not revealed its intention to adopt Google’s Android OS devices for their upcoming smartphone, but seems like the company is working backstage on Android based smartphone and we’re very close to see the Nokia’s first Android powered smartphone in coming year.
After the report of several techblogs including The Verge and BGR India, the prolific leaker evleaks has now revealed the another image of alleged Nokia Normandy Android smartphone and confirms its existence. The purported image show that if ever launched, Nokia Normandy (codenamed) will come in several color variants like Green, White, Yellow, Blue, Red, and Black.
Like others, evleaks has also failed to reveal the key specifications of the smartphone, but if rumoured are to be believed Nokia Normandy will be a entry-level smartphone targeted at youths, and will support dual-SIM connectivity.
There are no word on the exact time frame when we will see this Android powered Nokia smartphone, but speculations are rife that Nokia Normandy might be launched around Mobile World Congress 2014 next year.
