The Chinese phone vendor Oppo has officially announced the launch of its latest mid-range smartphone, called R1 in the Chinese market today. The phone has been priced at 2,498 yuan (approx. $410), and comes with enticing features and elegant design.
On the specs front, Oppo R1 comes featured with 5-inch IPS display bearing a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It packs dual-SIM support and 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean based Color OS.
In addition, it also has 5MP front camera and 8MP rear camera with F/2.0 wide aperture, which according to the company, is capable of delivering excellent images in low light conditions. The phone is powered by a powerful 2,410 mAh battery, and it included usual connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Oppo R1 is currently listen only in company’s Chinese webstore, and is available only in China at this moment. Unfortunately there is no word on its availability outside China.
