As expected, Samsung India has officially announced the launch of awaited Galaxy Grand 2 smartphone at a press event held in Mumbai today. The company has not revealed its pricing yet, but the phone is speculated to carry a price tag between 22,999 and 24,999. According to the company, the phone will hit the selves starting first week of January 2014 and the actual pricing will be revealed only with the availability.
Being touted as the successor of Galaxy Grand, the new Galaxy Grand 2 comes with upgraded internals including 5.25-inch HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 2600 mAh battery. The phone is powered by Android 4.3 jelly Bean, and includes 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera and dual-SIM support just like its predecessor.
This’s not all; Samsung has also introduced a content store called Club Samsung with Galaxy Grand 2, which will offer Grand 2 buyers an opportunity to grab music, videos, live TV and movies directly on the phone. Club Samsung will be free for the first three months, following which users will have to pay for the content.
