Lava has introduced a new budget Android smartphone in the form of 3G 402 Plus in the Indian market today. The phone is priced at INR Rs.6,499 and available on pre-order from several leading e-retailers in the country. According to the company, the new Lava 3G 402 Plus will start rolling out in the country staring this week via online e-commerces as well as leading retail stores across the country.

Being considered as the successor of previously launched 3G 402, the new Lava 3G 402+ boasts 4-inch WVGA resolution bearing display and comes with dual-SIM support. It is powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean backed by 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

It has 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, and the usual set of connectivity options. Apart from the usual Android apps, the Lava 3G 402 packs a host of pre-loaded applications and software tweaks like Shake to Answer/ Silent, Backup tool and more.

The phone will be competing with the likes of Micromax Canvas Fun A63, Spice Stellar Nhance 2, and XOLO A500L, all of which come with similar pricing and features.
