Sony, the Japanese tech pioneer has introduced its latest USB flash drive meant for Android smartphones and tablet buyers this week in USA. According to the company, this new USB flash drive features both microUSB and USB 2.0 connectors, and are compatible with Android smartphones/tablets that comes with USB OTG supports and run on Android 4.0.3 ICS or above at the moment. The company is also looking forward to include support for latest Android 4.4 KitKat running devices in coming days.
“Consumers want to let a friend see the photo they just took or share a video easily with as few steps as possible,” said Viviano Cantu, director of consumer media marketing, Sony Electronics. “These new drives combine convenience, peace of mind and performance and are perfect for mobile multi-tasking.”
According to Sony, this drive will be available 8, 16, and 32GB storage options and will carry a price tag of $19.99, $29.99 and $62.99 respectively in the United States. As you can see, the pricing is clearly on the upside but Sony is hoping that consumers will choose these drives for their ease-of-use.
