A report published in technological website Techblog.gr claims that, following the footsteps of companies like Samsung, Sony and HTC which have been introducing the mini variants of their flagship device from past few year, LG is also planning to launch a mini version of its current flagship LG G2.
According to the publication, this mini variant of LG G2 will feature 4.7-inch display, but will includes the same quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB RAM. Rest of the specifications of the smartphone are still unclear at the moment but considering the presence of Snapdragon 800 and 2GB RAM, we are expecting that it will pack specifications similar to original LG G2.
LG seems to be following the same strategy as Sony, which launched Xperia Z1 f, a smaller variant of Xperia Z1 in Japan with almost same specs as Z1.
There is no word on pricing as well as no official confirmation on the report, but if the report is indeed true we could see the LG G2 Mini announcement at CES 2014 which is scheduled to be held early next year. Till then we take this report with a huge pinch of salt.
