HTC India has officially announced the launch of three mid-range dual-SIM Desire-series smartphone in the Indian market today. The phones are dubbed as Desire 501, Desire 601 and Desire 700, and are officially priced at 16,890, 24,190 and 33,050 respectively in the country. All the smartphones were announced at the at end of last month in Taiwan, and India is one of the few countries where HTC has launched these devices so early.
All the smartphones feature dual-SIM support and are powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and 1GB of RAM.
In particular, HTC Desire 501 boasts 4.3-inch WVGA display, and packs 1.15GHz dual-core ST-Ericsson U8520, 8GB of internal storage, 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, 2100 mAh battery and usual connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA, microUSB port and built-in NFC.
On the other hand, HTC Desire 601 packs 4.5-inch qHD display, and includes 1.2GHz quad-core Broadcom processor, 4GB storage, 5MP AF rear camera, VGA front camera, 2100 mAh battery and usual connectivity options. According to the company, the phone has been priced at 24,190 and will be available for purchase starting December 13 via several online retailers across the country.
At the end, if we talk about the HTC Desire 700, it is powered by 1.2GHz Spreadtrum Shark quad-core processor, and includes 8GB of internal storage, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.1MP front camera and 2100 mAh battery.
It boasts 5-inch qHD display and comes with the support of connectivity features such as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. According to HTC India, this dual-SIM phone would be available around Christmas along with 1 year of free insurance.
