Samsung, the South Korean tech pioneer is reportedly working on a cheapest version of Galaxy series tablet called Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (SM-T11), and if the folks at Sammobile are to be believed, the alleged tablet would hit the shelves in second or third week of January next year, a couple of weeks ahead of MWC 2014.
Keys specifications of this upcoming cheapest Galaxy tablet are not clear at the moment, and also there is no confirmation on the report from Samsung in this regard, but if the report is indeed true we might hear a official announcement later this month.
According to the report, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is claimed to carry a price tag of 8,400 (approx. 100 Euros) in the Indian market, and will be available in both 3G and Wi-Fi variants like the Galaxy Tab 3.
Speculations are rife that the Wi-Fi variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in Cream White color will hit the stores first in the second week of 2014 followed by 3G variant in the 3rd week of January 2014. In addition, the company will also introduce Ebony Black color variant of both the 3G and WiFi variants which would be available in fourth and sixth week of 2014 respectively.
With this cheapest Galaxy tablet, Samsung seems to be planning to target local vendors such as Micromax, Karbonn, Lava etc., which are offering their mid-range Android tablet within this price brackets in the Indian market. What’s say?
