Expanding its Q-core series of smartphones a step ahead, XOLO has introduced a new quad-core processor powered Android-based smartphone in the form of XOLO Q500 in the Indian market today. Priced at 7,999, the phone packs 4-inch WVGA display and comes powered by Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor. It is going to be available shortly in the country.
Powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, XOLO Q500 includes 1GB RAM, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, and 4GB of internal storage. In addition, the phone comes with microSD card slot, 1450 mAh battery, dual-SIM support and the usual set of connectivity options including 3G.
According to XOLO, Q500 comes with X-TransPic mobile application, a language translation tool that helps users translate Hindi words by just pointing the app camera at any sign board, advertisement or poster. This functionality works even when the phone is not connected to the internet. The X-TransPic mobile application will be available on all XOLO’s upcoming Snapdragon devices.
