State run telecom operator BSNL in association with Pantel Technologies has announced the launch of new Android powered smartphones, Penta Smart PS501 and Penta Smart PS650 in the Indian market yesterday. Featuring 5-inch and 6.5-inch display respectively, the phones are priced at 6,999 and 7,999. While Penta Smart PS501 is already on sale in the country for 6,299, the Penta Smart PS650 will be available shortly in few coming days.
If we talk about the specifications, Penta Smart PS501 includes 5-inch FWVGA display, and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.2.2, 4GB of internal storage and 1,800 mAh battery. It has 5MP rear camera, dual-SIM support, and 0.3MP front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 2G support.
On the other hand, Penta Smart PS650 comes with 6.5-inch IPS display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The phone also packs 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 3G, and 2,500mAh battery.
Both the smartphones comes bundled with free 3GB of 3G data and up to 300 minutes of talk-time from BSNL.
