The Taiwanese phone make HTC has introduced two new budget Android powered Desire-series smartphones in the homeland yesterday. The launched phones are dubbed as Desire 501 and Desire 700, both the devices will be available on Taiwanese telecom operator Chunghwa Telecom starting next month for NT$9900 (US$ 334) and NT$13,900 (US$470) respectively.
In terms of specifications, HTC Desire 501 comes packed with the features like Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1.15 dual-core processor, 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and 2100 mAh battery.
It also includes microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, and 2.1MP front camera as well as usual connectivity features Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi b/g /n, DLNA, microUSB port, and NFC support.
On the other hand, HTC Desire 701 features 5-inch qHD display, dual-SIM support, and has been powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2100 mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Among the other features, it has 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, 2100 mAh battery and the usual connectivity options.
According to the comppany, the HTC Desire 700 come in black colour variant only while HTC Desire 501 will be available inseveral color options including Pink, White and Black. There is still no word on the global release right now.
