Intex is reportedly going to launch India’s first MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor powered smartphone in coming days in the country. The company has done a partnership deal with MediaTek which will supply the octa core processor to the manufacturer.

According to the company, this octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor is more powerful than Samsung Exynos 5 Octa as its all eight-core can function simultaneously. In Samsung Exynos octa 5, only four application cores function at a given point of time.

The company has not revealed the branding and the expected pricing of this upcoming smartphone yet, but it has announced that this alleged smartphone will feature 6-inch HD IPS display and will be powered by 1.7GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16/ 32GB of internal storage. It is said to be just 7mm thick and include dual Yamaha 1420 speakers and removable battery.

In addition, the phone will support 13MP rear camera with auto-focus and BSI, 5MP front camera GPS, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, and Bluetooth. The phone will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform.
