Idea Cellular, a leading telecom company in India, has introduced a new self branded dual-SIM Android smartphone in the country this week. The phone is dubbed as Idea Ultra and has been priced at 10,500 in the Indian market. The smartphone is now available fir purchase in the country via top retail stores and in few coming days and will come bundled with 3GB 3G Internet & Free Idea TV for 3 months with an Ultra specific pack priced around 259 – 261 (depending on telecom circle).
On the specifications front, the Idea Ultra comes with 5-inch IPS display with FWVGA resolution display and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform. According to the company, the phone is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal memory.
The phone packs 8MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, FM radio, microSD slot, 2,000mAh battery and usual connectivity options. Idea Ultra is the 12th 3G smartphone from the telecom operator in the last two years.
