Within an hour of launching latest Android KitKat, Google owned Motorola Mobility has revealed it plans to update Motorola smartphones. In the official update portal, Motorola has listed all of its devices and provided the information whether your Motorola device will be getting Android 4.4 update or not. We gave it a quick spin and found that Moto X and the new Droid smartphones are sure to get the update, while the update plans for other smartphones remain to be decided.
For some smartphones, Motorola has planned to skip the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for existing Android 4.2 powered devices, and looking forward to provide Android 4.4 KitKat update directly. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is not a bigger update to existing Android 4.2, but the recently launched Android 4.4 KitKat is surely a remarkable update which brings several improvements and new features to the existing Android devices.
Google-owned Motorola is the second Android manufacturer after HTC which has revealed its planned to update existing Android Jelly Bean powered to Android KitKat, and we are hoping that other phone makers will also join the suit soon.
