After introducing several quad-core processor powered smartphones, XOLO, one of the prominent mid-rage phone maker in India, is now looking forward to launch its first 4G LTE enabled smartphone, that too in November. According to the tipster of GSMArena, the company has its sight set to launch its first 4G smartphone, called XOLO LT900 featuring 4.3-inch 720p HD display. The tipster even indicated that the announcement of the phone might be in the first week of next month, which is not too far now.
According to GSMArena’s tipster, the phone will be powered by 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor, and will include 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash and BSI sensor.
GSMArena’s report is a little light on details but we found a benchmark listing for XOLO LT900 on GFXBench, which confirms the existence of the phone as well as the presence of S4 processor with Adreno 225 GPU, Android 4.2.2, and 720p display on it.
The other specifications, pricing as well as the launch plan of the smartphone are still unlear at this point, but we’re expecting that the company will partnered with Airtel, which is the lone telco rolling out 4G network (that too in a very limited number of cities like Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune etc.)) in India to launch the smartphone unless some other telecom operator decides to make its 4G network official next month and LT900 is its launch device.
Thanks to tipster, we’ll not have to wait longer to know all these details as the smartphone is highly expected to be launched first week of next month which is not very far now.
It’s also worth remembering that Airtel does not currently support voice-over 4G LTE network and the telecom operator will most probably be using ‘Circuit Switched Fallback’ to provide voice support over 3G network like its first 4G smartphone – Huawei Ascend P1 LTE.
