Apple is reportedly all set to announce rumoured fifth generation iPad and iPad Mini 2 on 22nd October, the same day on which Nokia will announce its upcoming devices including Lumia 1520, a Windows RT tablet, and few Asha smartphones having touchscreen display, according to folks at AllThingsD. However the exact location for the launch is still unknown at this point, but speculations are rife that the event will be held in either Apple’s Town Hall Auditorium in Cupertino or the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
According to reports, Apple iPad 5 is expected to pack 64-bit A7 processor and Retina display with higher resolution. The device is also said to feature a powerful iSight rear camera and FaceTime HD supporting camera in the front. However we’re not sure if it features TouchID sensor which Apple introduced in iPhone 5S. It would be obviously slimmer and lighter as compared to the previous models.
As far as the iPad Mini 2 is concerned, it is rumoured to feature Retina display and A7 processor alongside a M7 co-processor and 1GB RAM. The Mini 2 will also get the much hypes Touch ID sensor with a similar functionality for users. But there is no information on the cost of the devices.
