Announcing its 2013 winter/ 2014 sprint line-up of mobile devices, the Japanese Telecom operator NTT Docomo has finally announced the launch of rumoured Sony Xperia Z1 (also known as Honami Mini) on its network in Japan. According to the operator, the smartphone will be available by the end of December this year.
The specifications of the smartphone are already known to us as they popped up several times on the net in recent past, but to remind Sony Xperia Z1 f features 4.3-inch 720p HD Triluminos display, Android 4.2, 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and 2300 mAh battery.
It also includes LTE support, NFC, Wi-Fi, 20.7MP rear camera with BSI and 2.2MP front camera with BSI sensor. It’s a water and dust resistant smartphone that will be available in Lime, Black, White and Pink colour options.
Pricing for the smartphone is unclear now but expected to be revealed closer to the actual availability. The company has also not indicated about its globally availability outside Japan.
In addition to Sony Xperia Z1 f, the telecom operator has also introduced a new high-end smartphone, called Samsung Galaxy J as a part of the same line-up. The Galaxy J comes with 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display, 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor, Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), 3GB RAM, 13.2MP ca,era with LED flash, 2.1MP camera and 2600 mAh battery.
