Archos, the popular Gaming tablet maker, has announced a new Android tablet, called Game Pad 2 for Game lover. The tablet is apparently a successor of the existing GamePas and packs upgraded internals. According to the company, the GamePad 2 will hit the shelves in Europe by the end of October for €179.99 ($245), and in Q4 in USA.
If we talk about the specification, as per company’s official press release, Archos GamePad 2 comes with 7-inch 1280x800p IPS display, and packs 1.6GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and includes front camera for video calling, Wi-Fi display, HDMI, and front stereo speakers.
The tablet comes in two storage variant–8GB and 16GB. Both versions include a microSD slot(64GB compatible) with app2sd support for extra storage.
Being a Gaming tablet, it comes preloaded with complete versions of Asphalt 8: Airborne and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour by Gameloft both revisited for physical controls.
Though the Archos GamePad 2 is designed with gaming in mind, it’s still a fully functional Android tablet able to do everything that you expect from an usual Android tablet.
